At the 9th International Conference of Sport for Development and Peace (ICSDP 2024), we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and transparency in the peer review process. Each submitted paper goes through a rigorous review procedure managed by our Scientific Committee to ensure quality and relevance.
Review Policy and Workflow
-
Initial Screening by the Scientific Committee
All submitted papers are first reviewed by members of the Scientific Committee to assess alignment with the conference scope and quality standards. -
Double-Blind Peer Review
Papers deemed suitable proceed to the next stage, where they are evaluated in a double-blind peer review processby two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. -
Decision by the Review Chair
Based on the reviewers' comments and recommendations, the Scientific Committee Chair decides whether to:-
Request revisions from the author(s), or
-
Reject the manuscript.
-
-
Revision and Resubmission
Authors whose papers require revision are allowed to address reviewer feedback and resubmit their improved manuscripts. -
Plagiarism Check (Turnitin)
Once revised papers are received, they undergo a plagiarism check using Turnitin, with a maximum similarity threshold of 20%. -
Final Submission to Publisher
Only manuscripts that pass the plagiarism check and meet all quality requirements will be selected for submission to our publishing partners, with the possibility of publication in indexed journals or conference proceedings.
Guiding Principles
-
We adhere to a double-blind review policy, ensuring both reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the process.
-
Our procedures are aligned with best practices in scholarly publishing and follow COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
-
All reviewers are selected based on their academic credentials and expertise in the relevant discipline.
